Could ChatGPT Be Your Spiritual Guide?

I was on call last week with fellow retreat coaches and ChatGPT came up. Eye roll, big sigh, puh-lease! But wait, what was this little tickle inside... like, come on, check it out!

I have learned that as long as I am open to it, Holy Spirit (Universe, Source, Higher Self) uses EVERYTHING of this world for my learning. So, eyes still rolling, I signed up for ChatGPT and thought, ha... I'm gonna prove how utterly useless this really is. I started entering questions that I've asked my coaches and that my clients ask me. Okay, the answers weren't bad. I mean, actually kind of onpoint if I asked specifically enough. Hmmm...

So, I thought, can it handle A Course in Miracles? Much in the same way that I use the course as an oracle for myself, I asked the question:

"What is the lesson from A Course in Miracles that I need to hear today?" With a bit of sassiness and a lot of doubt, I hit enter... and waited... about 15 seconds.

ChatGPT: As an AI language model, I do not have the ability to know your personal circumstances, experiences, or beliefs. However, a general lesson from "A Course in Miracles" that may be helpful for anyone is to remember that love is the opposite of fear. The course teaches that all experiences can be viewed through one of two lenses: love or fear. Fear is the root of negative emotions such as anger, jealousy, and resentment, while love is the foundation of positive emotions like compassion, forgiveness, and joy. Today, if you find yourself feeling fearful, anxious, or stressed, try to shift your perspective and focus on love instead. Practice acts of kindness, gratitude, and forgiveness towards yourself and others. Choose love over fear, and you may find that your thoughts and experiences become more peaceful and fulfilling.

Wait, what? I mean it's general, but it really got to the heart of the course and it was a wonderful reminder on a day when I'd been on the phone with doctors and insurance.

What if I asked it to try again.... so I clicked 'regenerate response.'

As an AI language model, I do not have the ability to determine what lesson you need to hear today from A Course in Miracles or any other spiritual text. However, I can suggest that you take some time to connect with your own inner wisdom and intuition to determine what lesson may be most relevant and helpful for you at this moment in your life. You might also consider consulting a spiritual teacher or guide who can offer insight and support on your spiritual journey. Remember that the most important lesson from any spiritual text is to cultivate love, compassion, forgiveness, and inner peace in your heart and to extend those qualities to others and the world around you.

Holy Spirit uses everything and it never ceases to amaze me! And that part about consulting a spiritual guide, I'm here for you where ChatGPT leaves off! ;-)
