April Showers Bring May Flowers: Reflecting on the End of April
As the end of April approaches and the beginning of May is just around the corner, I’m reminded of the saying, "April showers bring May flowers." This is a beautiful metaphor for the cycles of life that we all experience.
Life is filled with difficulties and trying times. Just as moody April is known for its showers, storms and unpredictability, we too are faced with our own personal storms. These storms can take many forms, such as loss, illness, or uncertainty about the future. But I’m also reminded that these storms are temporary, just like the rain in April. They will pass, and in their wake, they provide fertile ground for growth and renewal.
As we move towards May, I already see the flowers beginning to bloom. The colorful parade of budding trees and flowers reminds me that even after the darkest of storms, there is always the promise of new beginnings. The lessons we harvest from our struggles open us up to embrace the opportunities for growth and renewal that they offer.

Reflection Prompts:
In what areas of your life are you choosing (even if subconsciously) to stay in the stormy season?
What’s holding you back from embracing the new beginnings that come only when a storm passes?
What does your inner wisdom want you to know about “April showers bring May flowers?
What would it take to find joy and peace in the beauty of the passing storm?
